Bought as an emergency shelters and evac cover, I've used the Alpine Bivy Pro several times as a bivy bag on an unplanned bivouac with my puffy jacket and slept warm and comfortable. Well made and durable, we've trained with it as an evac bag, but never had the misfortune to need it in that role. It packs up well with and holds the patient secure and warm. While it works as a shelter, I would not replace my tarp with it. Excellent as a panel for signaling rescue aircraft.
