Weatherproof, lightweight and versatile climbing backpack for alpine activities

Highlights

  • Waterproof material and full access to equipment fastenings
  • Particularly robust and tear and scuff-resistant
  • Comfortable: Back system and optimal load distribution

Whether you’re out in the alps or on the world’s great rockfaces: The weather can suddenly and unexpectedly change on long alpine climbing tours. That’s not a problem with the TRAD DRY 30, because it keeps everything inside dry and protected on your way from A to B.

The outer material is extremely robust, tear/scuff resistant and waterproof, so it can withstand even the wildest of rock climbs. And the high-frequency welding technique used on this lightweight climbing backpack ensures all seams are waterproof. Your equipment can bequickly accessed in any weather via the rolltop, and the attachment options for helmet, rope and ice axe can still be used because they are not obscured by a rain cover. The comfortable Full Contact Light back system is lightweight and ensures great stability and weight distribution. In the interests of the environment, the TRAD DRY 30 is also especially environmentally friendly, as it has no DWR coating and is thus PFC free.

The TRAD DRY 30 is thus a clever, reliable climbing partner that has been streamlined down to the essentials: So now there’s nothing to stand in the way of your rock-face adventures!

Alpine climbing
I got this pack with big days in the mountains with the potential for bad weather. I am a photographer and I having the roll down dry bag style was important to keep the items in my pack dry. The pack is constructed with all the same design features of all the Ortovox packs and if you haven't used Ortovox packs, they are excellent. What I didn't realize when I bought this pack was it was not only perfect for days in the mountain but also it is an incredible travel pack. I have taken it on beach, lake and river trips and the weather protection is a fantastic all around feature.
