Ski touring
Stylish, comfortable, and functional. The Merino wool is so cozy, whether out for an aerobic ski tour or sitting by the hut stove afterwards, the weight of it is perfect for getting after it or laying back. And I really like the stylish patterning. I've got the black-gray version of this and it looks great even out on the town after a day in the mountains. The Merino is also super-durable--I've been wearing mine regularly for 3 years now and it's still going strong. Lastly--on the note of strong--the real magic of this baselayer is that the wool makes sure that your odor doesn't come on strong. I've worn this shirt for week-long hut-to-hut tours in The Alps--something I'd never do with a synthetic baselayer--and the Merino stays remarkably fresh and odor-free throughout. I'm an Ortovox Athlete, you've got a right to be a bit circumspect about my review, but I can tell you that this is a piece that I truly believe in and a product that I use daily--I've got one in orange, one in blue, and one in black---and I use them all with confidence and with enjoyment, in the field and out on the town.
