Casual, lightweight, robust

Versatile, wind and water-resistant ski touring pants with loden pocket

Highlights

  • Wind and water-resistant
  • Robust and elastic
  • Merino wool lining

These casual CEVEDALE PANTS for men are designed for the ambitious ski tourer: lightweight yet sufficiently robust for even the wildest tours.

With its ribbed structure on the inside, Tasmanian merino wool ensures excellent insulation and feels pleasant on the skin. These ski touring pants have a scuff resistant exterior and their elastic two-way stretch material adapts to your every move.

Our CEVEDALE PANTS for men are also easy on the eye: the map pocket on the thigh is made of traditional loden from the Austrian company Steiner, with contrasting colors used to highlight the zippers.
Protection against sharp edges on the inner leg and integrated gaiters make our ski touring pants reliable companions for a day in the snow.

CEVEDALE PANTS for men are therefore versatile companions for long and short days of ski touring.

Pants look and feel great. They are super comfy, but the edge of my ski simply cut through the edge protection like it was a hot knife through butter, while I slipped during skinning up. The cut isn't big, since the edge protection is mentioned as feature, this is pretty disappointing to me.

I work as a full time ski guide in Utah and these pants have been my daily driver the last two seasons. They have held up really well and I love the fit and comfort. They are trim enough to tour really well and feel good, but they aren't skin tight. I have found them to be quite windproof and warm on cold days. The Piz Boe shorts layer over these pants really well for the colder days. They stand up to dry snow really well, but if its really wet snow or snowing really hard they can start to wet out. I am 6'7" with a 31" waist and the medium long fits me perfectly. I work as a full time ski guide in Utah and these pants have been my daily driver the last two seasons. The look, fit and workmanship are all top notch, but like Nico I have to criticize the "edge protection" and the robustness itself. I wore the pants on my first mountain tour and unfortunately got a few cuts in the pants from lightly touching them with my crampons. Both on and above the edge protection, with a similar effect. I have touched my Ortovox Brenta pants, which are officially not suitable for mountain tours, more heavily with my crampons and these pants were not damaged even though my leg was scratched underneath. I really expected more from the "edge protection" of a specific pair of ski/mountaineering pants, but unfortunately you didn't notice much of it apart from the different color.
