Lightweight, compact and efficient: Weighing only 580 grams, our new BEAST is a lightweight, cleverly designed avalanche shovel that is perfect for beginners as well as for more demanding users. Thanks to its 83-centimeter working length and 2.3l scoop volume, the BEAST is the ideal size for efficient work after an avalanche.
The combination of high-quality materials, high sidewalls and a pronounced center ridge ensure the necessary tensile strength and stability. A sharp, sturdy cutting edge guarantees optimum performance. Thanks to the pack-friendly shovel blade with its non-slip step grooves and the telescopic, rapid-closure shaft, the BEAST avalanche shovel is easily stowed away in any ORTOVOX ski touring backpack in next to no time. With other features such as the T-grip with switchover function for left and right-handers, the BEAST focuses on the essentials and is a must for any touring backpack.
